There’s a current trend going on in the NHL. A trend that is not only irresponsible but also reckless and dangerous. Is it hitting from behind? No, that trend seems to have lost its steam. Is it knee on knee hitting? No, that trend also lost its steam, mostly because of the dangers for the aggressor as well as the victim. The latest trend right now is high sticking to faces of NHL players. Ladislav Nagy has gone down, Owen Nolan has gone down, Darcy Tucker has gone down, and these incident...

Kevin Gilbride will no longer be offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills. That’s the best news I’ve heard in quite a while. The new head coach of the Buffalo Bills, Mike Mularky will bring his own offensive coordinator, Tom Clements with him. Hopefully Clements can take what weapons the Bills have and use them to their outmost capabilities. But we’ll see… I really don’t like or dislike the choice of Mike Mularky (I giggle every time I say his name). I have no feeling about him one way ...

What is wrong with these Raptors? Losing to a Ben Wallace-less Detroit Pistons team last night is unacceptable. When are they going to learn that success happens when they have Jalen Rose post up inside or they throw the ball to Donyell Marshall inside or they have Vince Carter drive inside and go to the hoop(and actually finish a shot). When 2 of these 3 things happen they have success and usually win the game. When they don’t? Well….the second half of last night is evidence enough. For whateve...

For the weekend of Jan 10th/11th, I correctly picked 2 out of 4 games. I missed Carolina and Patriots. Let’s look at the one game that hurt me: 1. Carolina beats St Louis Mike Martz is a devout coward(I borrowed that from Matt Millen). Instead of punching the ball in the endzone and going for the win in the last few mins of the 4th quarter, he settles for overtime, loses the toss, lucks out when Carolina misses the winning FG, gets his team to drive the length of the field, plays ...

For those who know me, I am cautious guy. But compared to my brother Kevin? I am Evel Knievel. But my brother took a huge step from cautious to moderately cautious. He joined me in betting on NFL football this weekend. My brother actually parted with his hard earned money. Normally when I try to get him to participate in gambling activities, he usually asks so many questions that I get frustrated and tell him don’t bother or if it’s not guaranteed (which nothing is) he shies away. This t...

I thought I would start of with something that amuses me, my NBA 2003-2004 preview and predictions. I thought it would funny to post it and realize how different things have turned this season. This season has had a few surprises, so I don't think my miscalculations are too different from other people's. Let's take a look: Wes' NBA 2003-2004 Preview: Atlantic Division 1. NJ-with the addition of Mourning they have a chance to actually improve, but that's all dependent on his h...

Personally, I have not had the greatest year. 2003 has been filled with ups and downs and peaks and valleys. From the joy of my very good friend getting married, helping him renovate his new house and sharing in the birth of his first son. To the sadness of some loved ones moving to the United States, as well as stresses at work. Despite the turbulent year that has passed, I am really hoping to end it very well, on a high note. Why? Well I am dating a really special girl, and because of ...

There are four NFL playoff games this weekend. And for the first time in several years, they all seem pretty straight-forward…..yeah right! Except for first one, they all have a bit of risk. But I am giving it a shot anyways. Wanna hear it? This is how it goes. 1. Tennessee (-1) over BALTIMORE Before watching last Sunday night’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was obvious that the Steelers were not going to let Jamal Lewis get the rushing records ...

Xma$, Xma$, Xma$. You see where I am going with this. I have spent more money this year for Xmas than I have for the past 2 Xmas combined. Why? Well, although 2003 has not been the greatest year for me personally, it has ended off well for me financially. Thanks to a nice lump sum amount as a result of some excellent investments, I have been able to purchase more quality gifts that have and will make people feel good. That is what it is about. It is not about showing off, not about spending big ...
